This blog has a simple goal: to provide a public service by informing and educating businesses and business people about the constantly evolving law that governs the employment relationship in New Jersey. We also hope that our fellow attorneys and interested members of the public will find the blog to be useful.

Franklyn C. Steinberg, III

Mr. Steinberg is the founder and principal of the Steinberg Law Offices. He is also the primary author of the blog. Frank has practiced with large firms but has spent more than 16 years in his own practice. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Steinberg has litigated hundreds of complex matters before the State and Federal courts.

  • 1974 magna cum laude graduate of Denison University
  • Received his law degree in 1977 from Seton Hall University Law School where he also served as Managing Editor of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Served as a law clerk in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey from 1977 to 1979
  • Has litigated both jury and non-jury trials and has argued appellate matters in the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, and the Supreme Court of New Jersey
  • Admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of New Jersey (1977), the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (1977) and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, 1978.
  • He has been a featured speaker for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and various professional groups.

Christine H. Steinberg

Ms. Steinberg recently joined the Firm as Of Counsel after many years of service in the public sector. She still serves as outside general counsel to several college athletic conference and teaches Sports Law at Seton Hall University Law School. She is responsible for establishing the Firm's sports and entertainment practice.

  • Served as Assistant Chief of the Banking, Insurance and Public Securities Section of the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Law.
  • Featured speaker at programs sponsored by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the New York and New Jersey Societies for Certified Public Accountants.
